ALPHARIP is a multifaceted formula designed to support muscle growth and fat loss through several ingredient pathways, including supporting healthy myostatin signalling (myostatin is a natural muscle-limiting factor), mitochondrial function, exercise performance, and insulin sensitivity, in conjunction with a healthy diet and lifestyle.
The formula has been designed around ingredients that have historically suffered from poor bioavailability, paired with compounds studied for their role in muscle-building and thermogenic signalling pathways, to support muscle recomposition in conjunction with a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Olympus Labs has developed an enhanced version of a well-known ingredient that has historically suffered from poor oral bioavailability. Ursolic Acid PhytoFUSE™ is a bioavailability-enhanced form of ursolic acid, designed to overcome the absorption limitations of standard ursolic acid while retaining its studied benefits for muscle building and fat loss.
The second key ingredient is RipFACTOR®, an award-winning, clinically studied herbal formula that has been studied in humans for its role in supporting muscle growth. RipFACTOR® supplementation has been studied for its effects on strength, endurance, and muscle mass, with measurable changes reported in as little as 14 days in clinical trials.
Also featured in the formula is the ingredient alpha-Cedrene, included at a studied dosage. Alpha-Cedrene acts via a mechanism involving Olfactory Receptors (ORs), a pathway linked to increases in cAMP within muscle and fat cells, and has been studied for its role in supporting skeletal muscle mass, strength, and healthy anti-catabolic signalling.
Key Benefits of ALPHARIP

- Support ATP production
- Support muscle protein synthesis
- Support vascularity
- Support anabolic signalling
- Support lean muscle growth
- Support healthy insulin sensitivity
- Support fat oxidation
- Support lipolysis
- Support exercise performance
- Support healthy levels of anabolic hormones already within the normal range
- Support healthy anti-catabolic processes
- Support strength output
- Support myogenesis (new muscle fibre formation)
- Support recovery
The Science Behind ALPHARIP
Advanced Science
Muscle hypertrophy: research on ursolic acid has explored its potential role in muscle hypertrophy, including effects on the size and number of muscle fibres. Proposed mechanisms include activation of signalling pathways involved in muscle protein synthesis, such as the mTOR pathway, and increased expression of IGF-1.
Body fat metabolism: research, largely in animal models, has explored ursolic acid's role in fat metabolism and weight management, including effects on energy expenditure, adipogenesis, blood glucose regulation, and insulin sensitivity.
Muscle recomposition: by potentially supporting both muscle protein synthesis and fat metabolism pathways, ursolic acid has been studied as a candidate for supporting muscle recomposition (building muscle while reducing body fat), in conjunction with a healthy diet and lifestyle.
RipFACTOR®: a botanical extract combining Sphaeranthus indicus and Mangifera indica, studied in humans for its effects on muscle mass and exercise performance.
- Sphaeranthus indicus has a long history of use in traditional Ayurvedic medicine.
- Mangifera indica (mango) bark and leaves contain mangiferin, a compound that has been studied for antioxidant and other properties.
RipFACTOR® has been the subject of several clinical trials in human populations:
- An 8-week randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in young adult males with resistance-training experience reported improvements in strength, endurance, and muscle size over the study period, with a measurable increase in upper and lower body strength reported as early as 14 days compared to placebo.
- A second study (2019) in resistance-training-naive subjects compared two dose levels ("performance" and "ultra-performance") against exercise-matched and double-exercise placebo groups. Subjects taking RipFACTOR® showed strength and endurance gains comparable to, and at the higher dose exceeding, those of the double-exercise placebo group. Testosterone-to-cortisol ratio changes favouring an anabolic profile were also reported.
- A more recent double-blind, placebo-controlled trial (2023) in young male participants reported increased mid-upper arm circumference and changes in body composition and serum hormone markers. Haematology, clinical chemistry, and vital signs remained within normal ranges, and no adverse events were reported.
RipFACTOR® is included in ALPHARIP at a dose consistent with the clinical research on the ingredient.
Alpha-Cedrene: a cedrane-type sesquiterpenoid, more commonly known as a cosmetic and flavour ingredient. ALPHARIP includes a purified, isolated form of alpha-Cedrene at a studied dosage.
Alpha-Cedrene has been studied as an agonist of the OR10J5 olfactory receptor subtype, a pathway linked to localised increases in cAMP in tissues including skeletal muscle and fat cells. Research suggests alpha-Cedrene may support myogenesis (new muscle fibre formation) and healthy anti-catabolic signalling in skeletal muscle.
Research also suggests activation of the relevant OR pathway may support glucose uptake and insulin sensitivity, and cAMP signalling has been studied for its role in the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis and healthy testosterone production already within the normal range, in conjunction with a healthy diet and lifestyle.
