Does caffeine cancel out creatine?
The evidence does not support a simple universal statement that caffeine always cancels creatine or that every combination works better. Studies vary in loading schedule, caffeine amount, exercise test and population.
A 2024 trial in endurance-trained men and women found a creatine-related improvement in a short sprint measure but no additional benefit from adding caffeine or sodium bicarbonate in the tested conditions.
